Vespa scooters and mopeds were made in Italy by Piaggio. Vespa is a division of Piaggio, like Chevrolet is a division of General Motors. In the USA the bikes were branded as “Vespa” but in most countries they were called “Piaggio”. The brand name Vespa was used up to the 1980’s.

The Super Sport 180 cc was the top Vespa from the mid 1960's fast strong and very reliable. It is the last of the piston ported deluxe scooters from Piaggio in the 1960's
The SS was the flagship model for Vespa with plenty of torque and speed to take on it's main competitor Lambretta's TV 175.
The model is printed and removed from sprue/supports before shipping. This model may require construction. Most models require no instructions as they are simple and obvious to build. For models requiring instructions, these can be found in the listings images.
